Veterinary Technicians and Kennel Staff
Wisconsin native Nicole McGlynn is a certified veterinary technician and has helped care for pets at Bellwood Animal Hospital since 2007. Nicole has worked in the animal care field since 1999 and is happy to be part of the hospital's caring, friendly staff. Her animal companions include Kitty, a cat, a goldfish named Captain Jack Sparrow and Mabel, a rat. When she's not at the hospital, Nicole enjoys reading mystery stories, spending time with her daughter and gardening.
Veterinary assistant Cassidy Haas joined the Bellwood Animal Hospital staff in 2006. Cassidy enjoys the learning experiences that come with working at the hospital and is proud of the high level of care provided by the vets and staff. Cassidy's hobbies include boating, gardening, swimming, hosting cookouts and hanging out with her daughter and pets. Her animal companions include dogs Butkus and Bear, a cat named Lovie, and a bird named Kiwi.
Kennel attendant Rachel Thoele joined the Bellwood Animal Hospital staff in 2007. She loves working with animals and is proud to be part of the caring staff. Rachel's hobbies include reading, fishing and art. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends. At home, she can be found spending time with her cats Spanky and Skylar, and her dog Kali.
A groomer at Bellwood Animal Hospital since 1997, Shane Harris grew up in Genoa. He is proud to be part of the caring team of doctors and staff at the hospital and loves working with pets. Shane's animal companions are his dogs Tia, Angelica and Madge. When he's not at the hospital, he enjoys gardening, home improvement, camping and hiking.
Emily Pickett is a Certified Veterinary Technician at Bellwood. Emily graduated from the MATC in Madison, WI in May 2011 from the veterinary technician program. In August of 2011 she took the boards, passed and became a Certified Veterinary Technician. Emily moved to Rockford from Merrill, WI in December of 2011 and began working at Bellwood.
Emily worked at a clinic in Merrill, WI prior to going to school to become certified. She is a welcome addition to the Bellwood family. Emily has a cat named Tiger. Her hobbies are volleyball, trap shooting, four wheeling and spending time with family and friends.
Audrey Mora has been working as a veterinary assistant at Bellwood Animal Hospital since September of 2011. Audrey went to high school in Byron, IL. She has also lived in Nevada and California. A recent graduate of University of Illinois, Audrey has a bachelor's degree in Animal Science and has ambitions of becoming a veterinarian. She hopes to gain valuable knowledge and experience at Bellwood from working with who she believes are some of the best Veterinarians in Rockford. Being a long time animal lover, she has two Miniature Dachshunds name Mickey and Maisy. When Audrey is not working she enjoys wakeboarding, snowboarding, and time spent with her family.
Jaime Schmidt is a Registered Veterinary Technician. Jaime started working at Bellwood Animal Hospital in August of 2010. She attended St. Claire College and graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program with the class of 2000. She went on to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. While working in Michigan she met her husband and moved to Illinois. Jaime has worked at a few very good animal hospitals but has, happily, settled here at Bellwood Animal Hospital. She and her husband are proud parents of a 5 year old boy. Their house is also filled with two Labrador Retrievers and three cats. Jaime takes great pride in coming to work everyday and doing the best she can to help treat and care for all of Bellwood's clients and their pets.
Joni Roysters has worked at Bellwood Animal Hospital since July of 2011. She grew up in Loves Park, Illinois. Joni loves working with the animals and enjoys meeting and working with all of the Bellwood clients. Joni is married and has one son. Her hobbies include running, fishing and reading. Joni has two dogs - a pug named Cassidy and a black lab named Nitro. She also has two cats - a Siamese named Garcia and a Himalayan named Terrapin.
Michelle Rivers came to work at Bellwood Animal Hospital in November of 2010. Her passion for working with animals started when she was about 10 years old when she began volunteering at an animal shelter. Michelle graduated from the University of Illinois Champaign Urbana in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Biology. She has been working as a veterinary assistant since 2004.
She has two cats Poikilo and Daisy and she hopes to get a dog someday. In Michelle's free time she enjoys running, working on her house, and going out with her boyfriend, friends and family.
Sara Harkness grew up in a small farming community and has always made caring for animals a priority. She has been a certified technician for over 13 years and has enjoyed bonding with clients and their pets over the years. She came to be at Bellwood in 2011 as a technician looking for a great work environment and a wanting to be part of a caring and knowledgable staff. She has many hobbies including baking, reading, and quilting. Her family includes Brian and two beautiful daughters, one of which has practically grown up with the Bellwood family.
