Mark D. Grove, DVM

Dr. Grove is a general practitioner and the owner of Bellwood Animal Hospital since 1986. Dr. Grove is originally from Dixon and has cared for pets in the Rockford area for more than two decades. He attended Sauk Valley Community College and Eastern Illinois University and received his Associate's Degree in Science in 1976 and his Bachelor's Degree in Veterinary Science in 1980. Dr. Grove completed his veterinary education at the University Of Illinois College Of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1982. His professional interests include orthopedics, dermatology and internal medicine.

Dr. Grove is a founding member and past president of Animal Emergency Clinic and presently serves as the secretary and treasurer of the organization. He is also the president of the Greater Rockford Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Grove is also a member of the AVMA and the ISVMA.

An avid fisherman, Dr. Grove enjoys canoeing and fishing in the rivers and lakes of northern Wisconsin when he's not at the hospital. He is also a devout fan of the University of Illinois football and basketball and Cub's baseball. He and his wife, Jill, have three children, Rachel, Patrick and Tori, and Dr. Grove devotes much of his free time to his children.
