Jerome Jallen, DVM

Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Dr. Jerome Jallen attended North Dakota State University where he studied microbiology and biology. While there, he worked with the research facilities and became very interested in gross pathology and internal medicine. In 1996, Dr. Jallen obtained a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine. During vet school, he furthered his interest in pathology by working in the Clinical Pathology Lab for two years.

After graduation, Dr. Jallen practiced mixed animal medicine in Mount Vernon, Iowa, for one year prior to joing the staff at Hillcrest Animal Hospital in 1997. In August 2019, he began working for us at Bellwood Animal Hospital. 

In his spare time, Dr. Jallen and his wife enjoy fishing, hiking, and generally anything related to the outdoors. He is also a member of many local and national clubs and organizations.
