Jessica Nelson, DVM

Dr. Jessica Nelson grew up in Montgomery, IL and attended Benedictine
University where she received her B.S. in Biology in 2016.  She then
attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and
received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2020. During vet
school, she furthered her interest in native Illinois species by
volunteering at the Wildlife Medical Clinic at the veterinary college
for 3 years. Dr. Nelson’s professional interests also include
ophthalmology, behavior, dermatology, and exotic pet species.

During her free time, Dr. Nelson enjoys tending to her house plants,
reading, and bowling. She shares her home with her three cats Honey,
Sam, and Bunkie.
